[instaviz-users] May I suggest a new gesture?

I second this suggestion. Making the addition of a new connected node
a single stroke would make Instaviz that much easier to use. Creating
a graph that's a sequence of the same type of node would be a natural
sequence of strokes--awesome!
I'd also like to request the addition of a way to create self-loops
(edges that begin and end at the same node) in this group, to see if
there's a need for it. Self-loops are essential for certain types of
graphs, but never used for other types, so I'd like to know how many
other Instaviz users would find them useful, absolutely necessary, or
a total waste of the developer's time.
Glen and I exchanged a couple of emails about this a while back. He
was well aware of the issue, but hadn't come up with a way to
implement the feature that seemed easy to use, so the feature had been
postponed/tabled for the time being. I suggested either a
straight-line out-and-back stroke from a node, or a circle/oval stroke
that overlaps an existing node by a certain percentage (to distinguish
it from a new circle/oval node). And any suggestions on how this
might work with the current UI would be taken serious, I think.
Thanks!
