[instaviz-users] Advertising -- is it worthwhile?

Hey all,

Anyone here read the book The Tipping Point? It's about the nature of
how things get adopted and take off on a massive scale like a virus in
an outbreak. It has a few points relevant to this discussion.
Currently, instaviz is still a specialized app (well on it's way to
broad appeal) and I believe it would be best to target early adopters
and people looking for the cutting edge. As such, tech websites and
brainmapping forums may help spread the message virally. For example,
post onto flowcharts.com forum asking if there's a way to integrate
instaviz into flowcharts.

Second, it must be easy to pick up and use. Although I enjoyed the wow
factor of figuring out instaviz with just a blank screen, this only
appeals to the hardcore and adventurous. Most people cannot handle any
sort of learning curve and will reject a novel interface that cannot
be figured out in a couple seconds(literally). Thus, I would like to
see a YouTube video easily explaining the use of instaviz and this can
be sent to iPhone review sites and hopefully they themselves choose to
do a video review.

Lastly, it would be powerful if one day instaviz could incorporate
social networking/group collaboration features. Edit a graph together
in real time over the internet sort of thing. It would greatly
increase mass appeal. Nonetheless, I am loving instaviz and appreciate
all the work put into it.

Hugo
