I agree this would be a very nice addition.

I triggered an erase because I've got used to undo being shake in
other programs (standardised UI issue).

One of the unfortunate side-effects of the GraphViz program is the
amount of reorganisation that can occur with items being deleted if
they are heavily connected.

It would be quite a bit of work but for the case where you want to
delete a few items, it is very disconcerting when they move around.
Maybe it would be nice to defer the layout, maybe just be able to
suppress automatic layouts and have a manual "layout now" command. I'm
not sure what would be the most usable - needs a lot of discussion on
the list.

I'd like to see the Shake to Erase at least confirmed with a modal
dialog ASAP - it is VERY annoying to accidentally delete a node and
have no idea what you just deleted, on a complex graph.

In the longer term, that becomes Shake to Undo with the Delete
function accessible through an edit dialog like most programs.

Add the ability to select node type in the Info and I will be very
happy. I would rather see this change sooner than time spent on the
diamond recognition algorithm.
