[instaviz-users] Visio testing

Hi Glen and All,
The visio export works almost perfectly when opened in visio 2003!!

The node connections are all there, just two issues:

The text boxes need to be set to be just a fraction wider - otherwise
shapes export perfectly. For an example of this, try exporting the
"more help" file that comes with instaviz to visio, and see how the
text wrap around fits better if the boxes are a fraction wider.

The arrow line curves appear identical to how they are in instaviz,
but in some cases turn into straight lines. See my attachment for an
example file that produces inconsistent curved lines when exported.
(I've also attached the converted .vdx so you can try in visio if you
want)

If there was a mac graphviz GUI to instavue I would buy it, as I don't
think I need the full power of omnigraffle for their price, even the
edu price. I only managed to get visio through my old school's deal
with MSDN, and because I did an IT class I was eligible to get it for
free.
Otherwise, Instavue is fantastic and instaviz is now much more useful
for me. I just wish for an import function, but i'm sure that would be
quite difficult to implement.

Cheers,
Sam
