Will do. I keep forgetting the mailing-list password, and am fast
approaching Kid Time (any second now), so I might only get around to
it tomorrow.
Regarding 2), I keep wondering if a Safari-like button bar wouldn't
make sense.
Scenario:
- Hitting "+" on the button bar enters add mode (you then draw the new
node)
- Single tap on an item selects it for edit/deletion (you can then
redraw or delete it)
- Scrolling can be effected by dragging background with single finger
Sure, it's modal, but can be done with one hand :)

Here's a thought, re: your reply to this in another e-mail - what
about just using the wording "Default" inside the control?
