If it's uncontroversial and you have a specific idea already, go ahead
and raise a ticket. The ticket system does allow comments and
discussion as well, but given that everyone is probably 10x more
comfortable with email, if it's controversial or you want the others
to flesh out the ideas, then email is the way to go.

You can raise one for colors, for example. I'm currently preparing a
color picker for the settings page, it would be good to reference a
ticket for this.
You can change node shapes by simply sketching the changed shape over
the old one. It has to overlap the old shape by 50% to avoid being
considered another node.

You can also raise one for default node and edge settings. Although
I'm wondering whether users would be more comfortable using some kind
of multiple select of nodes/edges and applying settings, rather than
changing default node/edge settings for the entire graph. Opnions,
people?
