[instaviz-users] Opinions wanted: common attributes

Following up with Ryan's (and some other) comments,
one thing that has been learned over the last umpteen
years of graph drawing system work, is that end users
don't really want network layout algorithms. What they
really want is to draw pictures.  The success of Visio
and other drawing tools is proof of that.  They actually
want some nebulous combination of automatic
constraint management and interactive editing.
The problem with constraints is that they are notoriously
hard to debug when they become inconsistent.
