[instaviz-users] App Submission problem: urgent help needed!

Hi All

It seems there was a problem with the binary I uploaded to Apple.
Instaviz crashes when it tries to export to iDisk when it's run by
Apple, but nicely enough it refuses to crash on my system. They sent
me crash reports but not the console logs, so it's fairly difficult to
isolate the bug.

Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could test out as many
different scenarios as you can for me.

1.	If you don't have Xcode running on your Mac, download and install
one of the following:

	a.	if you have a Mac: http://support.apple.com/downloads/iPhone_Configuration_Utility_1_1_for_Mac_OS_X
	b.	if you have a Windows PC: http://support.apple.com/downloads/iPhone_Configuration_Utility_1_1_for_Windows

2.	Pick one from each option and note it down:

	a.	Hardware: iPod Touch 1st gen OR iPod Touch 2nd gen OR iPhone 1st
gen OR iPhone 3G
	b.	Operating System installed: iPhone OS 2.0 OR 2.1 OR 2.2 (Settings
 > General > About and read "Version")
	c.	WiFi: on OR off (Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > slide the slider to
on or off)
	d.	3G / Edge settings: on OR off (not sure how to do this since I
don't have an iPhone handy)
	e.	Graphs: use a small (< 10 nodes) OR big (>= 10 nodes) graph.

3.	In Instaviz, export the graph

	a.	With the graph up, double-tap to get the Graph Settings.
	b.	Scroll down and tap the Export Graph.
	c.	Choose the following settings:

	iDisk
	Directory: Documents
	User Name: pixelglow
	Password: whatever

(you can use the above settings since I've temporarily set my account
password to whatever for testing.)

4.	If there is a crash, it will spontaneously return to the home
screen (or "Springboard"). If you get a crash, do the following:

	a.	Open the iPhone Configuration Utility on your computer.
	b.	Connect the iPhone or iPod back to the computer.
	c.	In the Utility choose Devices > (iPhone name) > Console.
	d.	Click on Reload.
	e.	Click on Save Selection As and choose a place to put the txt file.

5.	IMPORTANT STEP: grab the txt file in 4.e. and the list of options
you used, and send the list an email with them. (This will help avoid
duplicate scenarios.)

6.	Repeat from 2. but choose a different set of options if possible.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Cheers, Glen Low
